    Thumbs up Early Spring

Punxsatauney (sp?) Phil did not see his shadow.

So for those members living in cold weather areas...... pull out your sleeveless tops/shirts, bathing suits and sandals.

Gen. Beauregard Lee saw his shadow, so winter is not over for us. Expecting some light sleet or snow tonight here in the Georgia mountains so appropriate I suppose

Me? I will keep an eye out for that first Robin to know when spring is truly approaching

Our local rodent, Chuckles VIII, did not see its shadow, so six more weeks of winter for us in CT.

Lisa - I'm with you. The robin is my own personal harbinger of spring!

Unfortunately, for us in northern Wisconsin, it doesn't matter whether Phils sees his shadow or not. Fact is, winter/cold weather will be with us well into April. Gardeners are cautioned to NOT plant annual flowers/vegetables until Memorial Day. Yes we will have periods of warmer days, but frost is just around the corner.

Aruba in March, is our way of breaking up winter.
