Exclamation Earthquake

Did you feel it?

Very scary if it is a first time experience huh?

If you have been through one, you at least knew what it was.

I felt it!!! Very scary. I work on the 46 floor in a high rise in Boston. It felt like the building was going to fall down. I actually held on to my desk. I can't imagine being in VA and what they felt.

We definitely felt it in northern NJ. I'm only on the 3rd floor of an office building and we shook for about 30 seconds. They evacuated some of the taller buildings in the area but no damage here-just some frayed nerves.

It was pretty strange here in Va. It felt like it lasted a long time even though it was 30 seconds or so. We just felt a lot of shaking. Some things fell off the walls. My brother lives a few miles near the epicenter. His floors were rolling and walls shaking. Things flew off of his walls and counters. Lots of buildings were evacuated here in the Richmond area up to DC. I haven't heard of any injuries. Bridges and buildings are being inspected all around. We lost cell phone and land lines for a while. I just now heard on tv that some homes have been shaken from their foundations.

I didn't feel it but a building about 1/8 mile from me did on the Navy Base I work on in CT. Coffee spilling everywhere! The fire dept almost didn't believe them at first ( my husband is a firefighter) but after the assistant chief went to see the building, it was found to be true! Who would have thought??

Felt it in Long Island. Office was evacuated for about 10 min. Really weird feeling, never felt one before.

After the earthquake in the northeast, the big question is whether Guam is still right side up.
