Just found out that because we did ours at home thru Tax Cut & DH had them deduct the fees through that, it now puts us in the category of our stimulus check being mailed . They said had he paid the fees thru a credit card and not deducted from our tax return we would have already received our $$.

Figured I would FYI everybody in case you might be in the same boat.

Hey, Chelle. Ours didn't come today either! We paid our fees with a personal check. I have no idea what the hold up is! Looks like I'm getting a ppr check to! Oh, well ... I guess it will keep me from spending it. When are you getting your belated m-day present?

new washer, dryer, micro, stove/oven, medicine cabinets, house stuff, aruba charges, house lighting fixtures, air tix for thanksgiving to florida, paul's new hearing aid and a couple of truck loads of loam.
our $1200 stimulus check will barely put a dent in the bill

if any of you kind folks have no need for your stimulus checks, i know where it can be utilized

have a good weekend everyone!

Just got mine....the very next day I got Tax bills from my Town.... Property tax up $700. Car excise tax bill (two cars) $700. Federal government might just as well have sent it to the Town so they can invest more money in their failing school system (my kids go to privates). Sorry if this is inappropriate post....but I feel better venting! Promise I won't do it again.

....with CindyO near California Lighthouse
Next Aruba trip in

We do not like living in Georgia, but our car tags are $200 and property tax is $1200. Our school's capital improvements are all funded through a local "special use" taxes in the form of sales tax. So more or less a consumption tax, we don't consume a lot so...

We are trying to save for...I don't know what...a rainy day which hopefully will not come. Septic will need to be emptied sometime in the future, the refrigerator is 10+ years old and dh wants to replace with the biggest and the best...I wouldn't mind a nice Aruba timeshare to escape to ...braces for dd within the next 12 months...ah always plenty of money to spend on "things".

In the meantime, dh, who never buys himself anything except for his coffee hobby and clothes when the ones he has are rags...just received in today's mail a copy of
for beach reading while in Aruba. He was impressed by the length of the novel. I doubt he will post a review but will be sure to let everyone know how he enjoyed it.

I'm hoping to get my new tat by the end of June . It will be on my lower back so I won't have to worry about the sun beating on it. My older son is shaking his head that I'm getting another one.

Get backyard chickens with your stimulus check

Get backyard chickens

Three or four baby chicks (ask for "pullets" or little girl chickens) will cost $10 to $20 at a local feed store or garden center, and a waterer and feeder are about $15. You can keep them in a rubbermaid tub, cardboard box, or wire cage until they're 8-12 weeks old, then you'll have to build a coop; look for plans on the internet or in the library, most coops cost between $50 and $500 depending on the luxury of your building materials. You can feed chickens largely on kitchen scraps and leftovers, with a little purchased feed for supplementation, and they'll reward you with about an egg a day during the spring, summer and fall. Not only will you have "food security" but your eggs will be way healthier if you let your chickens roam a bit in your yard, they'll taste better, and chicken poop is compost gold. It's like the perfect little micro-economy, right in your backyard. Most cities and towns allow a few chickens; or you can bribe your neighbors with eggs not to rat you out.

Okay, point me in the direction of horse care, raising ponies, and build your own wagons.

Only 10 short years ago our country had more horses than people. Time has come to bring back that trend.

In addition, need the same on cattle, dairy cows and goats (think of all that yummy cheese ).
