Only 10 short years ago our country had more horses than people. Time has come to bring back that trend.

In addition, need the same on cattle, dairy cows and goats (think of all that yummy cheese ).

We planned ahead and traded our timeshare week in Vegas back in January for a week at the Surf Club 8/30 - 9/6. The check hit the bank account last week and we used it to purchase our plane tickets.

Now the loooong wait begins...

Rob, you two have to move south.
Our property taxes are going up as well. ... About $30 a year.
I know, why bother?

You also have two girls looking towards college in a couple of years?
Legal residents of Georgia can go to state college/university with high school grades of A's & B's totally FREE with a stipend for board and books as well. The kids continue to go "free" as long as they continue with a A/B average.

We found this out after we moved to Georgia but know one couple who moved here from NJ with their two sons, specifically for this reason.

Thank you sooooo much for the update on your low taxes and free college in Georgia! If I didn't like you so much, I would start with the southern college jokes!

By the way....condolences on the loss of your mascot. You did know the Georgis Bulldog mascot passed away this weekend?

Yes, the sports news led off with Uga's death. He was only 10 years old and died of congestive heart failure. Uga was supposed to be buried in a private ceremony, I believe today, in a marble vault in the Southwest corner of Sanford Stadium in Athens with the other former mascots.

College for FREE and did I read that correctly a stipend for room and board? What a deal. Makes me think seriously about going back for another degree. Does this count for those of us who are a little older or only for "children" of parents who live there? Hmmmm...

Come on down! The HOPE and mandatory full scholarship pre-k is supposrted by the Georgia State Lottery.

http://www.gacollege411.org/
Ineligible as a Freshman or Graduated Prior to 1993
If you graduated from high school before the HOPE program began, or if you were not academically eligible immediately after high school graduation, you may be eligible for a HOPE Scholarship after attempting 30, 60, or 90 semester hours or 45, 90, or 135 quarter hours of study if you have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

UGA is about the best in these parts. Unless of course you are an alumni of Alabama or Tennessee. Then you know what they would say.

The trip was fabulous as always! Thanks for asking! I am working on a trip report and trying to go through 2000 photos.
