I just got back from voting. There was a long line, but our ballot is rather short, so I was in and out in about 20 mins. They said the lines were longer this morning when the polls first opened. I am so looking forward to this election being over. For the first time since I've been old enough to care about the presidential election, I'm not going to watch the early returns, because I don't want to hear the ups and downs and all the pundits' speculations. I just want to hear the end result. My husband and I are heading out to our favorite restaurant tonight.

hey hockey mom are you anywhere near westford, ma? when you mentioned 20 degrees and western, ma it got me thinking that maybe we're neighbors! i voted bright and early at 7:01 only waited in line 20 mins, too. the other night we had 12 "messages" on the phone - ALL were political adds. we'll be VERY happy when this is over....

No, but close - Marlboro. It was 20 degrees here this morning, but bright and sunny, which is nice. Voting this afternoon. They give us time to go vote so I'm taking full advantage. Heard the polls have been busy this morning. Look out - snow heading this way tomorrow night. Wish were were all in Sunny Aruba!!

close enough! there was a good turn-out this morning. i met some new citizens (family from india) who were SO thrilled to be voting for the first time it was great to see compared to the people i work with who "aren't voting, why bother..." honestly, i can't believe that people sneer at the privilege!

Ditto what everyone else has said. I'm so sick of the political ads!

I was at my polling place early this morning, and was in and out in about 10 minutes.

We have one mean Senate race going on in CT - it will be interesting to see who wins.
