Love how you got your first tattoo Andrea! I have been wanting to get my first (perhaps a small logo of Aruba flag shaped like a heart) while in Aruba. Every year I talk about it but have never done it. I am glad your friend has experience getting these while in Aruba, maybe this year I will check into it. Now I know to get it the last afternoon before I go, just wondering if it can be done over a tan or not. Anyway, congrats it is pretty cute!

So does anyone know of good, clean, reputable tattoo parlors in Aruba? I'm sure there are some, just not what I'm usually looking for. I'd consider getting one while I'm there this year. The last one I got was about thirty years ago in Glasgow.

Congrats Andrea!!! I got my seventh one back in February, a compass on my ribs. I have both of the tops of my feet done and thought those were a little tender, but the ribs hurt...lol!!! Just make sure you use sunscreen over it when out in the sun. Helps protect the tattoo from fading.

Thanks Andrea. I am seriously considering a tat this year for the big 6-0. What better place than Aruba to get it? I might even talk DW into another!

I got matching tattoos with my daughter and my 2 nieces when they each turned 18. The girls each selected the tattoo and I got the same one each time. Tried to put them in the same place that they did..... but my 'bra line' would have required some shaving so that one ended up on my inside left forearm!!! Coupla sunflowers (one multiple with vines) and a happy sunburst face! OMG..... 3 more nieces..... 17, 14 and 12......

I still like calling the "shots" no tats for me yet.
Thought about getting one of my maltese Rockey when he died.. but instead got two "real" ones
