LOLOLOL I noticed Act's new avatar, but didn't know how to bring it up. I was getting ready to ask about your previous avatar when I noticed you had changed it. We "met" your handsome spouse via Caribbean Life but you never told us about your puppy! (Or maybe you did and I missed it!)

Ahhh, my sweet boy: Roger, The Wonder Dog... he's a PBGV and the sweetest and most intelligent and, naturally, mischievous dog I've ever owned. He makes my day!

PBGVs (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen for those who are wondering) are such pretty dogs, with faces to die for! Is Roger a rescue dog?

Kind of. He was on the show circuit until he was a little over one year old and then his jaw didn't align properly (it was off by a few millimetres) and he didn't have a future...until he met us!!

when your pup was on the show circuit....was it like the dog was hunny boo boo and you were like the parent/mom?that would have been a cool reality show.

since his jaw was out of line, did you consider orthodontia or tmj treatment/night gear?

Mama June?!? Yikes. No. We weren't involved in dog shows. We heard (a former boss' mother shows the breed) he wasn't making the cut and they were putting him out to pasture... He couldn't breed because of the jawline so that was that. That world is crazy. Watch the hilarious movie, "Best in Show"... It's not too far off from reality!! PBGVs are very gentle but tough/sturdy dogs. They're like hairy Bassett Hounds. I can't imagine life without him.

Of course! Absolutely no offense taken!

But I did think I should explain how we got him... I do believe in the rescue programs (two prior dogs were rescue) and this one we were rescuing from insanity.

And... I've had my share of Mama June moments in my time LOL
