we will take a golf cart ride and check out the neighbor's trees.
after 6 pm we can get onto the golf cart path and see behind the houses.
we are in a country club community with 660 homes.
i would imagine that there has to be at least 1 community neighbor.

lots of folks, us included have staghorn air plants in their trees.

here is the one plant that i have not managed to kill.
    (but give me time)

You are welcome! The staghorn in that plant looks gorgeous! I like exotic.

I walked our dogs a lot before we moved to the country. I was knows as "the dog lady" and got to know so many people in our neighborhood. Just to chat or ask a question about the lawn, pool, car repair. And whenever I could help, I did. It's been fun.

Another possibility would be a nursery, if they are devoted and specialized in Orchids.

we took advice, THANK YOU....and spoke to a lady in the neighborhood who has many in her yard.
she told us to attach loosely with cotton string.
mist them daily except when it rains.

and if we are in a frost warning, drape a sheet over them to protect.

she said in about a year, the roots and the entire plant will connect to the tree and the cotton thread disintegrates.

told me, when that happens, come back and she will show me how to split up and add to more trees.

    here it is today.
    yes, illegal to do it.
i was being stupid and careless.

Very pretty! My friend in FL has orchids, but she grows them in a terrarium.

Orchids & Desert Rose looking gorgeous!! Good luck. I tend to kill everything too. This year I made the people who bought me plants for Easter keep them! I'm sick of killing things.

The first step is admitting you have a problem...
