    Peg - knowing you like the culinary thread, I'd HIGHLY recommend Anthony Bourdain's books - in particular, "Kitchen Confidential" and "A Cook's Tour". Both are riveting reads.

    OMG I bet Bourdain would have some interesting reads!! My interests definitely lean towards the culinary world.

    You would probably like Diane Mott Davidson. Her books have a recurring main character, Goldie, who is a caterer, and her husband, who is a cop. Each book centers around an event she's catering and there's a murder. She provides the recipes for the events she's catering.

    I love those Diane Mott Davidson books. And there are always recipes for all the things she makes in the book.
