    Good morning from RI.... Ugh

Hi everyone... How are you all making out?

Here in Northern RI we have a ban on driving ... It's a white out right now at 7 am, can't even see out the window. The plow has been up and down the street many times. It's left a wall of snow at the end of the driveway. We have about 10 inches, expecting 30".

We have hunkered down for the long haul. Our daughters are home safe and sound. Our generator is ready to be flipped on, our frig full, Netflix ready to be turned on. Grad school canceled for 2+ days.

On my arrival home from work yesterday my daughters were heading out, liquor store visit, for the makings of tropical drinks. They think they are going to sit outside in the hot tub with tropical drinks. I'm like you'll be lucky if you can find the hot tub girls.... Oh to be young!

Keep in touch everyone! We can think and dream of Aruba together🌞

Driving ban here in Massachusetts as well. Up at 5:00 am because the dog wanted to go out. Nothing like rolling out of bed, throwing on a coat and going out into the snow. Shoveled off the deck and stairs so she could get out to the yard. Didn't think it was too bad as snow was light. Then .... she doesn't want to come back up the stairs. Trying to coax a 75 pound lab took more effort then shoveling! We were both drenched. By 7:00 the snow was a lot heavier and it's coming down good now. Looking forward to some chips and clam dip later in the day!! Stay warm everyone!!

Oh, almost forgot; when I came in the house an Aruba4U commercial was on TV!! Really!!!!

here in nj we got maybe 4 or 5 inches where I live. i took a broom and cleared a path up the stairs and on the deck to where i put food out for the neighborhood cats. they won't use the cat house, though, they use my neighbor's garage because her door is slightly ajar off the tracks. its better anyway. right now my hubby is making a slight path in backyard for the strays to get to the deck with the snow blower. then he'll do our sidewalk and the lady next door so she doesn't have to do anything. they lifted the driving ban. we actually had more snow the other day when they said it was going to be nothing.

Low 20's in SE Massachusetts with big wind and driving snow... not expected to lighten up until this evening. Getting ready to blow a path for the pugs since the snow is bigger than they are.....

My lab (Maddy) absolutely loves the snow and thinks she's a snow plow as she runs through the yard. She has a fear of the stairs when it snows though and she just trembles when I try to get her tocome up. There are only 3 steps!!

Here in Western Mass 12:50 pm now snow has stopped, all our snow blowing and shoveling of the deck/stairs complete. 10 inches total, could of and predicted to be a lot worse here, I know lots other parts of Mass have it pretty bad. Driving ban has now been lifted I believe only here in Western Mass.

I am relived and hope it is over, bad timing as my Mother passed away Sunday morning. Thankfully we were able to have arrangements made for tomorrow and Thursday, hope our relatives from Eastern Mass will be able to make it by tomorrow afternoon. Sad time so I am hoping thinking about Aruba and reading this forum will bring some happy thoughts my way.

Stay safe and warm everyone involved in this storm.

just spoke to my daughter in law and currently on their back deck 30" and much higher drifts everywhere else.
    they still have power!

my aunt called from ol' cape cod and it is still blowing and horrible there.
    she too has power!

i am guessing that because the snow is light/puffy results in less power outages.
    tropical storm force winds though!

It's hard to tell with all the drifting but I would say we have a good 30 inches so far and it's still coming down pretty good. Feeling very fortunate to have such great neighbors as everyone has been helping me shovel. I'm not sure we'll every see the cars again though.
