Beer after snow shoveling in NJ? You southerners just don't know how to handle snow.

Hot Chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps for the kids

    Blackberry brandy for the adults

....that's how we do it in New England

Same here in Hasbrouck Heights. I had an early morning pickup to take a passenger to Newark Airport yesterday at 5am and had a knot in my stomach for hours leading up to picking him up, all due to the coming storm.

Low and behold, at 4:45am when I left the house..... not one snowflake.

I get to Newark, it was slightly snowing. Thought for sure it would be snowing when I got home, and nothing.

I used to live further north in Jersey, Northwest section, where it seems to always get hit the hardest during snow storms.... but even they got nothing! It was bizarre!

Quite happy here, didn't have to shovel.

BUT... from what I understand, this Wed. will be our turn. I sure hope we get lucky again!

My brother had a little over 16 inches at Ortley Beach.
He was lucky and missed the December 19 storm. Got out of Newark to head to 'ruba in a nick of time.
