2 of my nieces 3 dogs are out to do their "business" in their yard in NH.
the 3rd dog, apparently ran out, did his thing and came back in and snuggled back up to watch the snow from the warm dry house.

Disappointed that we didn't get more snow here near Philadelphia. 80 miles north they got a foot! My parents tell me they're skipping to my shack in AUA and I have to watch their place this winter.

we had so many tree branches, huge ones, fall since we have alot of trees. it looks like a war zone in front of our house. good thing we moved the cars out of the driveway. one of our favorite trees fell right over. the curb in front of my house is blocked at least 4 car lengths with the tree branches we dragged there. there's a huge tree branch almost touching our driveway that is ready to go. its the town's tree so we told our neighbor who works for the town. he said the whole tree has to go.

you would hear this crackling sound like thunder and then boom, down went a branch but these aren't little branches, they were huge. i told my husband I have had it with this weather. 4 more weeks to go and then yeah, we're in aruba......

Yup, in NJ. My husband is sawing apart the tree that fell, dragging the branches away around the front and back of yard and shoveling. some towns in northern NJ got 19 inches of snow. can you imagine, in October???? with the leaves still on the trees, which is what caused this mess. we weren't worried about losing power because after Irene, we bought a generator so we were at least covered with that but thank goodness, no power outtage. I heard connecticut was 60% without power. so by those standards, we did well but I can't park by my house because the front is filled with tree branches and our driveway has hanging tree limbs over it and we're waiting for them to fall or the town to cut them down...

4 inches or so in RI. We have power, so many people do not.
A mile down the road from us doesn't have it, and let me tell you its mighty chilly out.
I feel bad for the little trick or treaters, there going to freeze in this weather.

First time in years we lost power I'm losing tropical fish left and right. Turning into an expensive storm! Went to Dunkin Dougnuts today, I was next online I see a fresh pot going on and what happens? Power goes out, no coffee. Who knows how long it will be out, fire place is roaring.

after Irene we went right out and bought a generator. we were lucky during that storm that our neighbor shared their generator with us and our power was only out for 8 hours. but within the next 2 weeks we bought one. I hope we never have to use it but just like insurance, its good to know you have it. next on our list is a snow blower and possibly a power saw after yesterday, lol....

but if we lived on a tropical island like aruba, we wouldn't need a snow blower, lol, or a power saw. we might need a generator but that's it.

Wink

This may seem rude to some but it is so rare that living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada would be get to brag but here today +16C, sun shining, birds singing, kids laughing There will be plenty of times this winter when the tables are turned.

Hope everyone fairs okay in this storm.
