Ok, you have to see our house, company leaves after Easter dinner, dishes barely cleaned up, and next thing I know the suitcases, yes, 9 of them, have arrived in the kitchen. My husband has solicted my daughter to help bring them up. Fishing rods, tubes, sunscreen, coolers are all out laid out on the dinning room table. Yes, the fine dinnerware, crystal and silver is also on the table....Is this man anxious or what...17 days, I think, i've lost count, Easter threw me off. Now, don't get me wrong, I too am anxious, and excited, but PLEASE, give me a chance to get the stuff put away. I am anxious to hear his response to this...

Maybe we should start dear Abby on this site...I hope everyone enjoys the comedy show on this site from us...I can only do a day at a time....Now, when we arrive in Aruba you would thik my husband is running for mayor..he knows everyone there and they know him by RI rob. p.s. I do love him though

Hi Cindyo.....I know you think I'm crazy....was it because I put the ultimate destination of my ashes in my will (Renaissance Island, Aruba). I'm dieing (hah) to see you explain that little quart bag to security that year.

So what's better use of the dining room than setting up the suitcases and starting the packing process? We only use that room three times a year anyway (Christmas, New Year's, Easter). Think the company thought it strange when suitcases started moving in as they were putting their coats on? Maybe next year they'll join us....until then....there's packing to do!

Let's see....what's next on the "Aruba to do list".......

I would like to have half of my ashes taken up in the helicopter and let fly !!! Then the other half goes under my wifes' bed!!!

I think it is a good plan!!!

Update....the suitcases are out of the Dining Room and have made their way to the bedrooms. The trip is getting seriously close now!

i am ashamed to admit that our suitcases never got put away in january.......therefore do not have to be brought to our dining room.

currently our dining room is occupied with hundreds of sheets of bubble wrap and moving cartons as it is our packing room.

Andrea,you should leave the AU stickers and luggage tags on them so they are always ready to go. Keep ya thinking about the vacation...Save that bubble wrap, it always come in handy.

Mine come up today from the basement. This is our first trip to Aruba and we are sooo excited. Still having some difficulty trying to figure out what to pack. I guess the most important things will be easy to think of and what ever we forget we will know for next time, and by reading all the posts, next time will be soon. If anybody has any grand ideas of what to bring please share. I am travelling with my husband, 17 yr daughter and 11 yr daughter.
