Check out the post about what to pack. I will try to find it again and post it for you.

Check out my counter for QM 2 and he just now pulled 3 suitcases, 2 garment bags and 2 carry on's out of the attic and spead them out over the guest bedroom!

MD is VERY organized, last weekend he sat down and composed a list of what he needs to bring, x sock, x pants, x boxers, etc. and I THOUGHT that was wacky!

We still have another 9 weeks to go!!! I am more worried about Christmas shopping.

i came home from riding at noon and paul had stuff laid out and "coordinated" on the bed for the trip in 11 days.

i said "since when have you taken an interest in packing and organizing?" he said he thought now that he retired he could do his own packing.

problem being he had way too much stuff neatly folded and arranged. he forgot that we have the timeshare box so for all intents and purposes he only needs his shave kit, and his cd walkman and passport/wallet.

Lisa........who on earth do you have to christmas shop for?
isn't the trip enough of a gift?

Well, I thought I was anxious!!! I started the clothes pile in the spare bedroom about 1 month ago (since the shorts weather has gone). This way I know the clothes are clean and ready to go. I also did some grocery shopping,,,herbs, spices, jello for jello-shots, that kind of thing. BUT, I have yet to bring out the suitcases...another week maybe.
If I ever came home and saw my Dh organizing a pile of clothes I would figure either he is leaving me or throwing me out !!!! But never would he even pack his own suitcase. I pack for both of us, down to the last razor for his shaver !!!!!
I think I am feeling used and abused....must make Dh pay for it...somehow, someway !!!

Aruba, my home away from home !!

Hmmmmmmm..... I haven't started packing yet.

I don't even own a bathing suit yet.

Didn't buy the engagement ring yet.

Never been so I don't know exactly what to bring, but the list posted by Liz was helpful....I'll get around to it I guess

Got the snorkel/mask/fins a few weeks ago.

Started a savings account in January and put away $200/mo for the trip.

Started working out and running every day and eating like a normal human instead of a cavone when I booked the trip 3 months ago, went from 265 to 220 lbs, a few more and I'll be ready for the beach

I figure all I need is a pair of flip flops (check) a polo shirt or 2 (check) some shorts that can go casual/almost formal (check) an engagement ring (damn ) and some sunscreen (check)

So basically I'm all set - am I missing anything important?

Sounds like you're almost there - Please get the ring and for now keep it with your passport - you'll need both in order to have a wonderful time in Aruba!!
