Hope this is NOT a Taboo question??
This is my 10 year anniversary. We are going to Aruba in July (with the kids). But I wanted to get away (somewhere other than Aruba) for maybe a day or 2 with DW. I live in Northern NJ and looking for somewhere to go to just relax and have a nice weekend. I am not opposed to flying somewhere, since I have a STUPID JB free R/T ticket that I cannot use for Aruba. As long as the other ticket is not that expensive! Let me know any good ideas, trying to keep the costs at a minimum, but not a dirty stinky dingy motel. ![]() Thanks!!!!

boston is supose to be nice.. I wouldn't think the air fair is that costly.. and I would think you could do that for the weekend.
what about a spa for couples? Living in nj myself. I guess AC is out of the question, because really you could go there any time you want to right? |

Bermuda or the Bahamas, or even a 4 or 5 star resort in Florida.

I was thinking of Boston, but to burn a RT ticket to there, when I can drive there. IDK, I was thinking little farther away to at least use the ticket.
AC is OK, but other than the Casino's there is not much to do. If i wanted to do a show I would goto NYC. Bermuda or Bahamas was actually a thought! Guess I will just have to price it out and see what happens.

Imo, the only down side of the cruise is that you totally lose the last day. You are up at the crack of dawn, force breakfast down and then round up and put off the ship so they can get ready for the next sailing. All usually by 9 am.
With a resort vacation at least you have (generally) until Noon to enjoy the amenities. When you are only going for two nights, 3 hours is 3 hours. I LOVE Princess cruises though My favorite actually. ![]() There is a very nice Radisson on Grand Bahama. I don't know if it is quite up to the caliber of the Radisson Aruba, but you could easily find out on tripadvisor.

Anthony...depends on when you wanta go...Newport, RI is really nice in the spring. Not crowded, easy to drive to...maybe 4 hrs or so. Wonderful mansions, ocean side dining and hotels...
