Hmmmmm Vegas! Not a bad Idea! Rooms are prob pretty cheap out there too. I dont need a great (attraction) Hotel. One of my favorites is Harrah's and right in the middle of the strip.
Decided to take down my timer!

We might be doing this also in April, I think we are heading down to the Keys for a few days, soak up the sun and drink rum runners. I love the tiki bars down there, conch fritters and florida stone claws! Plus, I want to visit Treasure Salvors inc. Mel Fishers museum, he discovered the Nuestra Senora De Atocha. Look it up for some intersting history and reading. I own some coins dated 1618 from the wreck. Sorry I'm rambling...... At any rate my vote is Florida, even West Palm Beach area.

That sounds like fun. But I don't drink nor does the DW really. She will have a glass of wine or a mixed drink, but nothing crazy.

I was even thinking of making a dinner reservation somewhwere, fly there, eat dinner, spend the night and Fly Home!

    Just something a little different!

VERY romantic! One year a now ex bf surprised me for my birthday with a trip to Boston and dinner at
    Top of the Hub http://www.topofthehub.net/

"One of Boston's finest dining destinations, the award-winning Top of the Hub features outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, and a sophisticated ambiance. Soaring 52 floors above the Back Bay, the restaurant and adjoining Skywalk Observatory offer guests a spectacular view of the Boston skyline from every table."

Ah no need to drink down there. It's really nice. A bunch of nice restaurants for you and the misses to choose from then spend the next day on the beach relaxing or reading a book. It's a real stress reliever.

Me and my wife usually do a trip down to AC every 2 months over the winter. Not gamble, we are not gamblers but to go to a nice dinner then go to a night club and dance. Our next trip is to Ceasars / Dusk. Nice club on the pier, makes you feel young again. Mixed crowd so you dont stand out either.

Whatever you decide have fun and enjoy the alone time.

Second vote for Bermuda. I've had several pleasant stays there, especially if you go to a guest house instead of a hotel.

Also a second vote for the Florida Keys. I like Key West because you don't need a car, lots of options for accommodations, and good chow.

    Enjoy.
