Hurricane Sandy........and its trek to ?

i made this thread in off topic a few days ago.
but, due to the severity of the storm and because so many of you are affected, i am moving it now to aruba general category/board.

    you are so very important.
you are community members........the community is family

we are sending our prayers and good thoughts and wish you all well and SAFE.

mid atlantic and new england ?

once it hits the colder air/water it becomes a hybrid.....intense wind and rain.

washington area ? nyc? atlantic city? new england?

be careful all, time to check your emergency kits/plans.

    fill your vehicle(s) with gas
    have some cash on hand
    batteries
    non perishables
if your freezers are full, time to cook some of that stuff and enjoy it

hope this storm takes a big right turn out harm's way

Here's hoping we do not get it in Western Mass....at least we have tons of batteries, last storm we couldn't find any in any stores! Also, after the October snow storm last year I swore I would never stock my extra freezer with food again, guess what? It is full!!! Oh well, my 3 buddies are off to Aruba tomorrow they missed the storm last year while they were in Aruba, they will be gone for this one again! Stay safe everyone where ever you are, lets hope we just get rain and no power outages or trees down. For all you lucky travelers this weekend lets hope you get to Aruba with no delays.

Here in NJ we are supposed to get hit pretty hard. And of course, we are supposed to be leaving Monday AM for Aruba which is when we are supposed to get hit. Not sure if anyone remembers, but last time I was going to Aruba we had a blizzard. I must be bad luck.
    stay safe everyone!

Well we are on United and I changed anyway. They promised me that if my flight gets cancelled on Tuesday they will reimburse me the extra costs. We are now leaving TMR!!!!!!!!! Running around packing, calling credit card companies, getting a spot for our car at the airport, got a room for Saturday nite in Aruba, etc. AHHHHH. I can't believe I get 3 1/2 extra days in Aruba. Yippee!!!

Wow elisabeth, maybe were a bad luck combo? We are about to call the airline as we speak. Glad you were able to change it!
