    I am EXHAUSTED!

    We foster dachshunds.

We have a new foster pair that we picked up on Sunday. One male, one female - they are seniors. They are both blind. Like BLIND. Not shadows, not almost blind - just plain blind! They have been barking AllNightLong! I don't know if they are missing their former parents, if they have blindness issues where they think it's daytime when it's really night - I just don't know. All is know is that I've had about 2.5-3 hours of sleep total over the last 2 nights. To say I'm cranky is a total understatement!

My husband is going to try to sleep on the couch with them tonight. I would allow them in my bedroom but then I would have to carry them up & down the stairs!

That is such a terrible situation but you are doing a wonderful thing.
What was the reason they were given up?

Their former foster parent had heart surgery and thought she would be fine to care for them after, but found it too difficult. They are a handful and I feel SO badly for them. They will likely never be adopted They are considered "Grandpaws" meaning they will just stay in foster care until they expire.

That’s so sad. I hope they calm down for you, at least long enough to take a nap.

Jacki you and Rich and boys are doing an awesome thing.

If if there is no room in the bed for these 2, check in to the side attachment that parents use for co sleeping with their baby.
I bought one for my son and daughter in law to get the baby out of their bed. Baby consignment stores.
