Do ANY American toursists, except those with family living there, actually go to Kingston?
![]() Flights into Mo' Bay are operating normally.

We have gone to Jamaica when we could not afford Aruba.
Right now for June we could go to a comparable all inclusive in Jamaica for 50% of what the same type of resort would cost us in Aruba. Would we stay on the grounds of the resort and never leave? Yes. But, when you need a vacation REAL bad, sometimes you just have to make do. ![]() Imo, for Aruba you are paying a premium for the perfect destination-- safety, dining, beaches, weather... Again, fine when you can afford it.

I find the Island of Jamaica to have a lot more personality and beauty than Aruba. BUT - I love Aruba for the safety and freedom of being able to do what I want when I want and not need an escort to leave the resort.

Jamaica
Just returned from 10 days Mo Bay. No problems. Had a fab time. Third visit to Sandals Carlyle. I must say, they really treat their returning guests VERY WELL...picked up at the airport by a chauffered Mercedes, upgraded room, tray of cheese and crax and a bottle of champagne in the room, t-shirts, returning guest dinner, boat excursion. And...cheaper than Tamarijn. Still planning to return to Tam in November.

We went to Jamaica last summer and we will probably never return. Abject poverty, crime and the general feeling of always being unsafe...no thanks.
