[QUOTE=SanNic44;167692]In the first place, the airlines have no authority over what goes on in the tower. So, it's not appropriate to query the airlines.

Threaten the airline they they threaten the tower, Have to start somewhere. Sorry to have hit a nerve Nic, actually no Im not

Cindy, have to agree , this is insane, never been in a tower, where I would imagine ,they better have there minds where they should be focused, don't even think children should be allowed in, i'm sorry wherever you are, your child with you is a distraction. That being said, my DD also thinks they're are just making to big of a deal of this, she feels this child had there parent right there, telling him exactly what to say, nothing was going to go wrong. I tried to explain that is not the point. I guess Young minds think alike

Threatening" the airline is illogical and petty, especially given the fact that they have absolutely no influence on this situation at all. The situation is under review by the FAA and they will address it within the existing regulations.

since we are in OFF TOPIC this thread will remain going for now.
but i do want to say that we have to keep sarcasm and humor to the point where we all "get it"
and if anyone feels that they have to chastise someone, please think 2x.

if there are inappropriate marks made, please hit REPORT and lisa or i will check it and delete if necessary.

unfortunately on the internet, the written word and tone is not quite readily understood.
it is hard to distinguish sarcasm, humor and the general tone.
PLEASE use "winks" when being sarcastic or humorous.

i do not want to have to close this thread.
see now that is me trying to be funny.......like saying to my dog....I do not want to have to smack you!!

and re: the kids doing the airtraffic do any of you think it is a scam or just a hoax?

If I had not heard the audio I might have thought the same. Having said that, I agree with Chadd. The FAA will surely deal with this within the regulations they have to work with.

Food for thought...when was the last time you got in your car and started driving and did not see a single person talking on their cell phone? Here is this part of Georgia in many cases, instead of traffic lights, we have "4 way stops". Instead of yielding to the car on the right, each car advances in the order that they reached the stop sign. I do not consider myself stupid, but I cannot imagine talking on a cell phone while navigating a 4 way stop.

How many air traffic controllers are talking on their cell phones while they are directing air traffic
