Language Programs?

Has anyone used a particularly helpful language program like Rosetta Stone? I used Rosetta Stone for Spanish and it helped quite a bit, but I already had some Spanish skills from my travels. I'd like to try some new languages, like German (which I haven't had any since junior high) and possibly one of the Asian languages.

So, I'm looking for reviews, good or bad of any software, books, courses, etc.

Thanks,

I have already purchased the Dutch Rosetta Stone tutorial for Beth as a christmas gift; a few years ago she went to Japan on business and used their product to brush up on her Japaneese. (she had taken it in elementary school!). She swears by it.

Lisa and Dave,

Thanks for your input. I'm thinking of sticking with them now that I have some opinions on the other languages they cover.

Bon dia from la isla.

DannyO,

Sadly, there won't be any signings in the US for An Island Away until next spring. Publisher is supporting the book very well here in Aruba and I'm following orders. Sorry about that, but maybe you can head down between mid-Jan and very early April. If not, possibly after that.

Bon dia.

CindyO,

Should be toughing it out on the island from Mid Jan to about the first week in April. Everything hasn't been locked in, but that's my usual run. See you then.
