    Luggage preference?

There have been some posts recently regarding carry on or checked luggage. We tend to always check ours. So, my question is do you prefer soft sided or hard sided luggage for checked bags. We've always used the soft sided style but have noticed they get worn pretty quick. Thinking about switching over to these hard sided version. What's your preference?

We had great luck with soft sided for 15 years and woulda gotten 5-6 more years outta the set.... 'cept DW found another set she liked better....! Great thing about soft sided.... they have more cramability....! If that's even a word.

I recently purchased hard sided luggage with 360 wheels for my daughter. She absolutely loves it and raved so much that I ordered a set for Rich & I.

We got these in Purple from Kohl's with coupons & Kohls cash https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-13...=Blue&prdPV=11

we have 2 of these in RED
    love them

very easy to pack and unpack and roll very well
and yes CP "cramability" is terrific.

problem being with these, we tend to overpack.

Soft sided....as said above, more "cram-ability" (LOL!) - we always buy the expandable and spinners.

We stick with the same brands though because they seem to be more durable / last longer - Samsonite and TravelPro. They can be more expensive (just watch for a sale) but they take abuse better.

.....BTW Peg...... TJ Maxx and Marshall's generally have a decent selection of name brand luggage relatively cheap...!

Great idea, we have a TJ's and Marshalls just minutes away. "Crammability" is a consideration.

I've been using the same Samsonite garment bag for 20+ years. Still going strong.

Andrea, I really liked that duffle bag but since I'm only 4' 11" tall it would probably be too big. Maybe one for Tom though.
