Anyone have any experience with two iPods on one iTunes account?

Dd and I do NOT have the same taste in music, but all of the music is stored in the same library on my external hard drive.

I have not set up her new iPod yet, so she has no playlists. If need be she does NOT have to have any playlists because she survived just fine without them before on her old MP3 player, whereas I solely listen by playlist or album.

Would it be easiest to just keep the entire library on both iPods (yes there is enough storage) and each do "our own thing" or is there an easier way?
