We attended a memorial service for my father-in-law (plot 613-G) with full military honors at Fort Indiantown Gap last Friday. What a beautiful place, we walked around and went to the PA memorial. Wasn't it a sight with all of those flags flying? Thanks to all that currently serve, have served and those who gave their lives for our country.

LG Smith Steakhouse, Windows on Aruba,
Enjoying the beautiful weather and finally warm temps here in western mass. Lighting up our grill sometime today and watching my red-sox game.
Going to visit cemetery to place flowers on my sister's grave as well as my parent's. DH and I just came back from a morning walk at cemetery near us and it is so nice to see all the flowers and flags this time of the year.
Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve this great country of ours.
We had a baseball tournament that took up most of our weekend. Made it to one BBQ on Sunday though. Baseball team made it to semi-finals and the rest of the games were called due to weather - weather that never materialized.... So we opened our pool yesterday and did some much needed cleaning of the yard & house!
We live in a staging area for the Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride to DC. It's always powerful to hear the roar and see the pride in our country and respect for our service members.
We enjoyed time on our boat with friends and eating blue crabs from the Chesapeake Bay, but the entire weekend has a somber shadow with thoughts of our classmate who gave his life in Iraq and our many family members and friends who have lost friends and family fighting beside them in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and other conflicts.
We also spent some time celebrating my grandma's 75th birthday. They live near historic Fredericksburg, VA where they attended a Luminara event at the National cemetery there that was absolutely beautiful from the pictures I saw. http://gosoutheast.about.com/od/mayf...morial-day.htm
