I'm so very nervous...just found out I need to have my gall bladder removed in 2 weeks.
Problem is, if the surgeon can't do it laparoscopically and I need the "old fashioned surgery" he says I may not be able to go to Aruba!!!![]() That would be just devastating!! I can't risk waiting until after the trip to have the surgery as the attacks are horrible. More nervous about missing the trip than the surgery! |

So sorry this has happened to you. I hope you do not have any attacks between now and the time of your surgery. I know how painful they are.
You have to follow doctors orders. ![]() My doctor put the fear of God in me to be extremely careful following my surgery, not to tear any of the internal stitches they leave behind. Aruba will always be there for you. ![]()

I'm surprised he wouldn't let you go after a month of recovery!
Fingers crossed the lap will work! My FIL had open heart surgery a short time before their planned trip and the dr didn't want him to go. He said he could sit in Aruba better than he could at home so the dr finally agreed to let him go. |

Sorry to hear you need surgery. Like many other posts, Aruba will be there for when you have recovered and will be able to enjoy it. Hang in there.

Been there done that! Had an attack last Jan. They thought (ER) it was a heart attack. After 5 days in hosp, did Laparascopic surg. Of course the surg. release form said might have to have other type of surg. Had surgery on 13th, home on 15th, left for Aruba on Feb 4th. No heavy lifting (over 15lbs.) was the only restriction. Good luck, get it over with. It's not worth the risk waiting.
