Need Surgery!

Thank you all for the good wishes. I have myself quite worked up over nothing. Crosby, with my first attack I honestly thought it was a heart attack. I never want to feel that again. Thats why I'm having the surgery now!

yes you never want to have an attack like that ever again.
I had lap surgery, I haven't hear much of people having to have the old time surgery... Have faith that you will have the lap, and able to enjoy you vacation in aruba!!!

You REALLY do not want to rip your internal stitches.
I was out of work for 3 weeks because I did heavy lifting at my job.

Tell your doctor the HEAVIEST thing you will be lifting will be a frozen concoction.

Unfortunatley, I have to take my daughter back to college 2 days after I get out of the hospital! (Well, actually I don't have to take her, I want to go) And it's a 6 hour drive. What do you think? Will it be bad to sit for that long in the car?

Imo, that soon afterward, it will depend upon any pain from your "outside" stitches. BUT as long as someone else is driving, that is what pain meds are for. All in all my gall bladder surgery was much much easier than my sinus surgery, three eye surgeries and two foot surgeries. Either way the pain will not be as bad as the "heart attack" like pain from the attack(s).
