My sister is going to Myrtle Beach with her family; since I haven't seen her in a few yrs (I chose Aruba and cruises vs going up North to visit)
So guess it is Myrtle Beach; (plus if I go there she will treat me too..) I rather go to Charleston cause of the history.
It's only a 4 day trip. Leave on a Monday morning and return on Thursday afternoon. Don't have to use any PTO
Really looking forward to seeing my sister and her new grand daughter.

Depending on when you head to MB, be aware of the time of day you get there. If you go during peak season, the traffic can be awful. Plan to get there early, early morning or later in the evening. However, since you're going on a Monday there may be less traffic as well.

MB is the popular vacation spot this year. I know of 5 families from my neighborhood that are there this month.

Check into the hotel, nice size, with small kitchen area and full fridge ..across the street from the beach and on the board walk.
We walked the boardwalk and hate to say just couldn't go on the beach....it didn't have white sand, blue water....
Guess I am spoil..lol . Something about the blue water..you can go up to your neck and still see the bottom of your feet...here if you go up to your knees you won't be able to see if a shark was next to you.
Went to Crabby jack seafood for dinner. Everyone had the buffet, I just got steam crab legs and rice
Hit the boardwalk again and shop. Got the dog sitter some special treats at i love sugar candy store..
Is so crowded here too...but thrilled I am spending time with my favorite sis..(got 5 of them too)
Made reservations for mideval times....should be interesting ..
We decided Myrtle Beach isn't my cup of tea, so will head out early wed and go to Savanah for a night...
Just got a good deal at the Marriott Mansion
    With early check in.

Yesterday we did all the touristy things.. went to the beach and got sea shells; drank out of red cups...
We then went to Medieval Dinner Show. Was lots of fun and excitement. Dinner was started off with tomato soap and bread; roasted chicken, potato wedge and corn on the cob. All served with no silverware... The show was very nice and we had lots of fun
Return back to the boardwalk; all got henna tattoo's ... (mine was a breast cancer .. hope... on the back of my neck.. makes me want to get a real one now)
We played in the arcade, rode the ferris wheel (scary.. ) some did the sling shot but with my shoulder I thought it wouldn't be a too smart thing to do.
Off for some funnel cake and more junk food.. omg I ate more in the past few days then I have all week.. but it was fun.

Today we got up early and went to breakfast. Was telling my sister how much I love Aruba and she must go ... well out waiter whom I wasn't fond of states "oh don't go there!!! lots of crime.. everyone I know that has been there has been rob at gun point and etc. Asked him "if he ever been there?" He said NO..
I politely replied to him than you shouldn't say anything.. it is the safest place I have ever been..

Well we said our good byes and headed on to Savannah... we were on the wonderful 95 S when Lou notice this sheriff following him actually tailgating him, so he moved over to the right lane.. well now we are getting pulled over. WTH?? he was only going 72 and I looked too.
Deputy ask if we know why we got pulled over.. No (but under my breathe I wanted to ask cause you're a jerk...)
he then tells us well MR. you switch lanes without using your signal light.. WTH???? you were tailgating him riding up the bumper, so Lou moved over, thinking you wanted us to move over so you can pass us.
Gave us a warning and informed us that he was being nice cause the cost was $239.00 ..
Took the paper and said thank you.. jerk Oh by the way he was a K-9 deputy too..
After he pulls away going 100 miles a hour.. really, Not following anyone either... to pull off to the side of the road with another deputy...
Really... so I called it in to complain. The manager was not happy and was out to investigate it too. They have camera's and will look into this.

    Off to Savannah

Off the topic from our little trip..
Sad news for us. We have be caring and providing for 2 of DH grandkids for over 4 yrs. Their mother was granted visitation rights and we did agree to that.
Even let the kids stay longer so they can spend more time with her and other family members...
Well she went back to court with the kids requesting they can return with her full time. The judge awarded this cause kids belong with their bio family.
Just sad, heart broken and scared. Scared that she will not provide them with the structure, discipline, love and caring home we did.
    Two great kids with awesome grades .. both high honors and A"s and entering dual enrollment were they take college classes and HS classes the same time ;
where they can obtain 2yrs of college for free.. while still in HS
She enrolled them in a tech school for a trade.. they need to be challenge.. took us many yrs to get them where they are.
What's sadder and more heartbreaking is that they are staying nearby and haven't called or visit.
