Congratulations to the long suffering baseball fans of NY.
I read today that the Yankees had spent more money on salaries ($1,600,000,000.00) since their last championship then any team in the history of professional sports....including the Red Sox (1918-2004) and Cubs (1908-present). It's true! I guess the Mets (1986-present) must be second.So....to true fans who follow their team in good times and bad....congratulations on the end of your drought!

Congrats N.Y., it was a great series to watch, games weren't over until the 9th. Teams in big markets create revenue & spend money, great for the fans, city, etc. Salaries are paid look at all the CEO'S yearly bonuses, they aren't worth it either, but you take what you can get! Again I enjoyed the series, Go Mariners/Diamondbacks.
