paul and i took an unexpected road trip to "old cape cod".

my uncle walter doucette, dad's brother, had some type of a brain bleed (stroke or aneurysm) at 7 pm last night.

he had surgery to relieve the pressure and blood and is currently in very critical condition.

paul and i sat there with him today for a little while and were encouraged by some movement, ability to follow some commands.

he is vented and in a morphine induced comalike condition.

his wife and adult sons and their wives are all here.

so, if you are into prayers, please say one or 2 for walter doucette of s. yarmouth, formerly of wayland MA.

i am on my way back to the hospital with paul shortly

then the drive back to central maine.

and as a bit of comic relief.........more snow here on the ground than in central maine!
