Once again I need your suggestion??

Okay I found a good deal for Aruba through groupon. Some good prices too.
But found another deal to go to the Azores Island Portugal where my husband's father was from.. Same island too. Maybe a sign??
Anyways any suggestions? Aruba ?? or Portugal??
We are done with cruises after Feb. been to every island and need to go else where. Aruba is on my list and Ireland where my father came from.
    So many decisions.

We have not been to the Azores but have spent a good amount of time in Portugal and absolutely loved it. I would go back again in a heartbeat! We stayed mainly in Lisbon but also went to Setubal, Sintra (cute village and amazing castles), Belem, Cascais, and Sesimbra. The towns on the water are beautiful, quaint coastal towns. We also went into the countryside to a few vineyards for wine tastings. The people were great so I'm sure the Azores would be wonderful as well. My vote is for Portugal - Aruba will always be there for the next trip.

We would love to do the Azores. First need to get a medical clearance. Lou goes back to Cardio end next week and hoping he can get the colonoscopy.
Once all is okay we are going to do it. You only live once.
    Fingers cross

I've never been to Azores, but have been to Portugal. I think going to where your family is from and seeing it is priceless. I think the more you see of the world, the more rounded you are as a person. I have a huge wall map-like 5 ft by 8 ft in the basement and I am putting stickers on all the places we've been. I hope to fill up as much of the world with stickers.

Went to the Primary Doc. today. He told us Lou's blood count is down. Possible bleeding some where. (colonoscopy) He said if he has to go for any treatments WE will go to the Azores before.
