Will DS & DIL take the cabinet? You can go and visit it when you miss it.
do we really need 30 bath towels, 30 wash cloths, 35 hand towels
Thin it out? Take maybe half and the color which would best coordinate with your new decor?
do we really need 18 coffee mugs?
A dime a dozen, easier to toss than move.
do we really need over 20 hand knitted or crocheted afghans? ;-)
Give away to friends, family-, neices, nephews, grands.
    " " 9 king sheet sets?
One for the bed and two spares?

i hear you and agree lisa...........but the man i sleep with is obsessing over not having enough sheets, towels etc.....and most of the afghans were made by his deceased aunts etc.....

    ARGH!
    it is my fault.
i pulled the afghans out of the hope chest and from the garment storage bags and i was just going to dispose of them to goodwill...............but since he is attached to me at the hip, he "noticed".
now mind you, these damn things have not been used in 26 yrs.
i think his mother and aunts dumped them off on us on the day we came home from our honeymoon.
i cannot dump anything else with kevin and becca.
they do not have the room.

It is a generational thing. Does anyone under the age of 85 use an afghan?

I use one at night during the winter while watching TV. There is a second draped over the back of a love seat for who ever else wants one Both made by my MIL.

The "good ones" crocheted by my dear departed grandmother are kept unused in my cedar chest. They will go to my dd when she has her own home and her own family.
