Quick update; went to Lou's primary Dr on Tuesday with what was supposed to be a follow up with the surgeon (all app. made by nurse at hospital) my gut feeling told me to call (it was down pouring that day) he never had any app. set up for that day or any follow up. Very upset too, because they did the same thing yesterday too. Dumb fools.
Well he is doing ok. One day at a time. Lost 13 lbs (really needed to plus a few more). Canceled home health nurse... what a waste of money; did nothing but his vital signs. I have did all the work and they got paid. lol
Now the cardio wants a holter monitor test (may need a pace maker ... but haven't told him yet till it is for sure).
We will go to the surgeon on Thursday for his first follow up. Incision looks great. No staples.. used bonding glue and steri strips and I care for that too.
Ok yesterday he bite into a sugar free fudge bar and broke one of his bottom front tooth.. yikes. Well he will go to the dentist on Wednesday but won't do anything unless he is cleared from the surgeon.
He realizing now that he can not do anything anything at all... no lifting more than 5 lbs now. No driving till further notice. Again he is glad he is alive and tells me I clean too good for him. hahaha, but I do.
We will have to go to pulmonary dr. cause we can't get his breathing sats above normal but my great dr. did order him a special portable small con. tank.
As for travel that will be put on hold for at least a yr. according to the cardio.. but the most important man in my life is alive and that's is all what matters to me.
Out patient rehab can't begin until mid May.. this is because he will be stronger and benefit from it more.

So all of those traveling to one happy island I need reviews so I can dream along ...

Ok those who mow their grass with ride on's and edging. I never ever even used either.
How do I mow? Do I go in one direction? Up and down or side to side.
As for edging I did order a light wt. battery one. 32 V and a five star. It edges, weed wack and mow hard to reach places.
He is very picky when it comes to the yard.. so I want to make sure it is done "his" way.
Any tips would be so greatly appreciated.

One more problem our new lawn company that just does the chemicals burnt the heck of my back yard. No way getting it back; called the owner and he is willing to replace it... but I must get the St. Augustine sod; and pay someone to put it down..
wonder if I can pay myself?? Think I need two pallets too.
Yes, I can lay sod cause did it with this house and didn't like it.... but going to do it.

    baby steps for lou!!
it is too bad that the doctor's staff screwed up the appointments

travel on HOLD and that is OK.
    he is alive!

we have st augustine sod too.
our lawn guy killed it in october.
so he just replaced it and he wanted us to oorder it and lay it and he would pay for the cost of the st aug sod.
we told him to blow it out his bottom and he was going to get it, lay it and we'd water it.
the sod is IN and we are going on our 4th week and of course we now have a watering ban.
we are allowed to only water on thurs and sun for 45 min each time.
    argh

use the rider mower anyway you are comfortable with

    ask lou for advice.
it will make him feel like he is needed

Thanks Andrea.. wasn't the dr. staff. The hospital drop the bomb several times; I know the felt that I am a "nurse" however if I wasn't I really be more confused then I am.
Good advice about the sod. With everything going on. I will call him myself; and tell him to get it and lay it himself. We have a large double lot and I know just the sod alone will cost about $1200.00 Heck that's our future Aruba trip.
    Off to work.

Thinking of you. You are one fierce woman. Baby steps is right. Nice to hear Lou is doing a little better. I don't know how to mow either and we have 5 acres. I will be in some serious trouble if I had to do it. I would have to call the kids. Keeping you and Lou in our prayers.
