Okay, someone needs to explain to me why some people (not me nor on this forum) get attacked for posting on the internet while they are vacationing in Aruba?

I posted to some internet friends during our recent visit to Aruba. 75% of the posts were made after dark, before dinner, when I was waiting for my family members to shower and dress. The rest were made after my family had gone to sleep and my eyes were not yet quite droopy enough. Rather than watch TV (ours was never turned on the entire 12 nights) or sit a the bar, I kept in touch through the internet.

Why do some people look down upon this? Is my life THAT boring, or their's is just THAT exciting?

I for one love it when people stay in touch while in Aruba. I think most of us look forward to this info and we love to hear about how much fun others are having.
Your life is far from boring! What are the nay sayers doing when waiting on others or not tired...watching TV? Borrrrrring!

If you mean that nonsense with Laura I think she was being flamed more because of the inane post she made - that's why folks were telling her to go soak in the ocean.

Other than that, I ,too, love hearing from people on the island.

It's nice to live vicariously.

(And mean people suck. They should be ignored.)

There is nothing wrong with posting while on vacation!!! I am looking forward to taking my lap top with me on my trip in May so I can post things that may be interesting for others on the forum.

BTW, Auntie I think hit the nail on the head, "mean people suck". I try to ignore it I really do, sometimes very very difficult for my tiny brain to comphrehend.

There is nothing greater than reading someone's post while in aruba. Its exciting to hear whats going on, what great food they've eatten, the great drinks....please,please, whomever is there now, please post and tell us all what a great time you are having.
Arubalisa is right !!! Hopefully when i finally get there my husband will let me touch his work laptop,( that he has to take), so I can post some news.

We live in a computer crazed society. We were beside ourselves for three weeks without computer access in our room!!!
I also love during some down time go onto my computer instead of watching tv.

I say you do whatever you want you are in Aruba!!!!! Have an Island drink and be happy!! Tell the naysayers that you wish they were there.....

I dont' bring my laptop but one night while sitting at the bar at Tulips drinking a pitcher of sangria with my sweetie...I took advantage of the FREE internet and e-mail my friends and posted on a few BB's! Had fun doing it and was helpful to some that wanted to know things like is that bartender still there, how's construction on such and such, etc.
