Power and water from the sun?

Saw this link on Fark and it could be big boost to Aruba if this technology continues to develop. They just committed the funds to build a full scale plant in Cyprus.

Concentrated solar power is achieved with the use of strategically placed mirrors, which reflect and focus sunlight onto a central receiver. This transforms solar energy into thermal energy and is stored. This stored thermal energy transforms water into steam which subsequently produces electrical energy through steam turbines.
At the same time, the remaining energy is used to desalimate the water through evaporation. The efficiency of the model is a new development in this field, since the energy that would otherwise be wasted in a normal solar plant would now be used for desalination.
