I agree with the others. You need your strength to take care of your hubby. Regroup when you can and don't ever feel bad- Tom would not want you to.

Now 2 weeks in the hospital, Tom had his first Chemo treatment last night. When I spoke to him this morning he said he slept through most of it and felt good this morning. We recognize that ill effects often show up a few days after treatment but for now all is good. They may even let him come home to tomorrow (emphasis on "may"). Tom will have 5 more treatments (3 weeks apart) over the next 18 weeks. He should be done by the first week in March. This is much better than originally stated. So, the journey begins. Thank you all for the support. Who knows, we may be back to Aruba in May.

So glad to hear Tom has now begun his treatments. I hope he has no ill effects and gets home to rest soon, just being home will be a great lift for him and you as well.

I am glad the road to a clean bill of health has begun. I am thrilled the amount and the length of the treatments appears to have been greatly reduced.

Woo Hoo! They let Tom come home today. We will have to do outpatient stuff twice this week but the important thing is he is home. So far no Chemo effects.
