    DH has to stick to a low-sodium diet and I'm struggling with cooking tasty meals. Tonight I did a stir fry with a bison steak and he was very happy with it. So, any low sodium recipes to share?

    Just tried this five flavor pound cake.. it was pretty easy and the kids liked it so much better than a cake with frosting...

    3 cups of flour
    1 tsp of baking soda

    2 1/2 cups of sugar
    1 stick of butter (room temp cut into slices)
    4 eggs (room temp)
    2 cups of sour cream (room temp and I used the lite one)
    1 tsp of van. extract
    1 tsp of almond extract
    1 tsp of rum extract
    1 tsp of coconut extract
    1 tsp of lemon extract (you can use different flavors or different flavors of rum)

    take the flour and baking soda and put in bowl and set aside

    cream butter and sugar till creamy
    add one egg at a time and mix for a minute or so.
    alternate flour and sour cream... mixing good. Start with flour and end with flour.. (usually I will do 1/3 of each)
    Add one flavor of extract at a time a mix well...

    Pour into a grease bundt pan (I just use the baking pam kind... and flour with powder sugar..)
    Bake on 325 degress for an hour or till it comes out clean..

    Let cool off for 10 minutes or so and remove from pan..

    Lemon glaze (you can use your own favorite one if you like)
    one cup of powder sugar
    2 TBS of lemon plus the zest of 1/2 lemon
    1 tsp of vanilla.
    *** wisk all together till creamy and drizzle over cool cake.
    Cake will stay fresh for a least a week in a tight container.. Very good for breakfast too
