Saddened on way to Alto Vista Chapel tonight

At sunset this evening, there was a large service being held at Alto Vista Chapel. As I drove up there, I was saddened to see that one of the roadside crosses had been smashed to the ground and the religious symbols ripped from it. The base was broken into 3 pieces. It appeared to be the work of vandals. No matter what religion, there should be respect.

People are so difficult to understand sometimes. This is indeed sad.

Do they know who did it? Hard to believe any Arubans or tourists would do something like that. I do remember a few years ago that a mentally ill man vandalized the chapel.

One would certainly have to be mentally ill to do such a thing.

Very sad. Hope the cross can be repaired.

And I hope, whoever did this, will be found and held accountable.
