I have to admit I started seeing some signs of old age last week. I had some friends come up from Florida and we went into NYC to go see the Dropkick Murphy concert which is an awesome Irish band out of Boston. Anyway, I primed up before going in and went right into the center middle front stage. After about ten elbows to the face a few hits to the chest and about 20 shoulder checks and about 10 spilled beers on my shirt I decided to throw in the towel. Oh yeah this was all in 15 minutes. Years ago I was up there until the final song but this time I felt myself breaking through the crowd to go stand on the outer sides of the Roseland Ballroom. Some of my other friends hung in there until the end, then I had to catch you know what on the way home. It was a good time though, just not my style of concert anymore. Maybe I'll try a Jimmy Buffet concert. lol

I realized I was old when I stopped taking drugs and started taking medication. I haven't been to a concert other than Buffett in a couple years, I got tired of the same types of things. The only down side of Buffett shows are the idiots that are so drunk they will never remember a single note of the show. Skip the lawn seats and sit up front.

I hear you Mark, Jimmy Buffet is the only concert I've been to in a few years and just got tickets for his show at Jones Beach in Aug.

Let me first acknowledge the fact that it is good to hear from you again Mark !!!!!
That being said...I as well know how you feel...but my girlfriends and I are die hards and still go to concerts....we will be going to the Tampa Bay Blues Fest in a few weeks and if you look closely in the front row you will see my smiling face...smashed though it may be there will still be a smile....AND I will know all the words !!!!!
