Another DINK (DUAL INCOME NO KIDS) Have been married almost 2 years but have been together 15 years. It took us a while to take the plunge into marriage but are very happy we finaly did. We went on vacation a year and a half ago to Sedona AZ and came back married and shocked both our families, but they were all thrilled we finally did it.
Life is good we have 2 tabby cats, Abbey and Mr. Boots who are the light of our lives. They are both rescue cats. Mr. Boots is diabetic so we have to give him insulin 2'xs a day and he is really good when it is shot time.

Another DINK (DUAL INCOME NO KIDS).

Mike and I have been married for 13 years (first and only marriage for both of us) but we've been together for almost 19 years. We still celebrate the day we met as one of our anniversaries....will be 19 years next month on Feb. 21st.

Had tons and tons of pets growing up but when I moved away and went to college, I developed pet allergies/asthma. So as much as I would love to have another kitty sleeping on the end of my bed, it just won't work in our house anymore. We travel alot (hubby travels alot for work and we do about 5 vacations a year) so it's actually good that we don't have any pets....would feel guilty leaving them all the time.

paul and i feel badly about leaving our pets.
middy our kitty, for this aruba trip has gone to a nice kennel for
"cats only". typically we leave her home and have someone come in daily.
but, with bad weather and lots of snow and ice, i do not want to chance it that she is home and unattended to. thus the kennel.
belle, our cockapoo is doing the "happy dance" that middy left today.
tomorrow she will go to her kennel on our way to logan airport.
paul and i will feel badly that our beloved pets are not with us....but soon too we'll be doing the happy dance in aruba, just as belle is doing right now in my dining room.

It always takes us time to get used to not having our pets around when we are on vacation. We are used to having a beagle sleeping in between us! We hate to leave Sammy at the kennel but love picking him back up when we get home! We are just as excited to see him as he is to see us!

Our best experiences have been with "cat only" kennels. Unfortunately we no longer live near one. At the regular kennel, our cats always seem freaked out from the incessant dog barking.

FWIW, coming home to our kitties is the only good part of leaving Aruba.
