I just took the survey and would say if the occasion arises I would definitely go and visit Cuba.

I think the culture of the people, the history, the glorious architecture from times long past, the fantastic music and dancing would interest me very much. I LOVE the language as well, just listening to it, there is so much temperament and rhythm to it.

My brother and his wife visited Cuba approx. ten years ago (they live in Germany) and liked it. A bit too windy for their taste. My father visited Cuba in the early 60s and LOVED it!

Some time ago, I watched Anthony Bourdain's show about Cuba, very informative, I liked it a lot.

Ck1- I too saw the Anthony Bourdain show and found it interesting. I guess I really have zero desire to visit anyplace at this moment other than Aruba, so Cuba should not feel shunned, lol.

Haha! I don't have immediate plans to go to Cube, Aruba4ever. But maybe one day... it was always my dream to travel to many places around the world.

Bailed out midway... too many questions.... and if the choice is Aruba or Cuba.... it'll always be Aruba. No desire to even try Cuba...! Guess I'm just a cultural wasteland!

Did Cuba a couple of times. There is a Cuban island called Cayo Largo. No shops or industry. Completely dedicated to tourism Beaches out of this world. An artificial part of Cuba. Great music and very kind people who worked the resorts. I befriended several and was taken to the barracks in which they lived. That showed me a different side of Cuban life. Also, the resort I stayed at was hit with a virus infection. It needed to be completely closed and cleaned but not before I got sick. If you go to Cuba, take my advice.....Don't get sick there. They doped me up to fly out. The doctors explained that to stay beyond the time we were meant to would be a bureaucratic nightmare. I was doped and taken in an ambulance (1950's) by escorts to the airport. There they demanded papers etc. They refused my wife from sitting with me at the airport and instructed the airline to do the same for the flight. I was taken into the plane by armed soldiers!

    Great beaches, but...........

Survey completed, I would love to visit Cuba. It would not replace Aruba, but I would like to travel to Cuba and meet the people there. I always look forward to visiting new places and meeting new people.
