    For friendliness and great beaches without begging, I would suggest Virgin Gorda. But, you will not have the multitude of dining and entertainment options.

    Just found out that JetBlue flies direct from Boston to St. Maarten on Saturdays. Wondering which side of the island is best if we decide to try it out!!!

    i prefer the dutch side of st. maarten but it has been a while since i've been there so i can't give you any recommendations.

    Thanks! Has anyone stayed at a good place they'd recommend? Around $200/night or so would be good.

    I am familiar with the Divi properties in Aruba so would imagine the St. Martin property would be nice as well http://www.diviresorts.com/DiviLittleBay/index.html

    I would check tripadvisor for some of the small properties. I know when I had checked into staying at the Radisson the room though expensive, was bad enough, but add on food and it was VERY expensive.
