One of a kind....our country's grandfather!

My best memories of him.....the Moon Landing in 1969 and July 4th 1976, the Bicentennial Celebration all day broadcast.....Tall Ships Parade in New York Harbor.

The JFK death announcement is a classic, however, I was on a bus coming home and missed seeing it live.

Any others?

i saw it rob
we were sitting in our 3rd grade classroom
the other 2 3rd grades came in to our class and we were glued to the tv

and it was walter cronkite we were watching.

While today we know the outcome of Apollo 11's mission it was not a given then. This will become evident watching Walter Cronkite and his colleagues as they watch the historic lunar mission unfold before them."
