That's too bad that Maine didn't turn out to be as good as you hoped. My husband, being from CT, always complains about the um, ah, Massh...s as they say on 95, and I say, hey, I am one of them! Originally from Chelmsford, MA. I have not ever been denied a job because of it before! How ridiculous!

LOTS of northern transplants in Florida, should be called Massachusetts-south.

Can't wait to hear all about it...maybe you can post a trip report of your road trip!

    Enjoy and drive safely!

that word is what we have been called now for years.....by strangers and it is demoralizing.

florida MA south as aruba is MA way south.

some folks in this maine town are really really set against MA folks.

i will do a nightly trip report here in off topic.
hopefully (say a prayer) that we run into NO traffic jams or weather.

Congrats on the new home down south Andrea! Yes Maine people are quite crochety when it comes to us southerners in MA.. but on the upside no more shoveling .

I can't beleive what a hard time you have had with your last move.
so glad your house sold fast!

We are driving down to fla the end of june, to see friends and family. I am dreading it with the two small kids.. we are just going to take our time.....

the shoveling was minimal this past winter. we had much less snow than the prior 2 winters. winter 2008 when we were up here only on the weekends, the snow was frequent and deep. winter 2009 snow was frequent and deep again, winter 2010 we had some heavy snow in dec and early jan and no plowable snow since jan 19. considering typical maine winter, this past one was not too bad.
spring came early, mid march with some very warm days.
