How's the Weight Watchers/Diet etc. going for everyone?? Doing pretty well here. Down 8 since Christmas (started my New Year's resolution a week early). Less than six weeks until Aruba so trying to stay focused. Hitting a plateau is always my downfall. Trying not to eat any sweets (can't stop at one) and get to the gym at least 4 times a week! Still want to lose another 10 but know that may be a stretch! Hang in there everyone!
congrats on your loss.
i am down either 9 or 10 depending on the time of day.paul is down 11.
i do water aerobics 7 days a week for an hour.i think it is no longer effective, so i am going to mix it up with some deep water jogging.
i think i am at the plateau and need a quick start.maybe trying a lot of veggies and keeping my points at below 15 for a day or two with 12 oz of protein a day and 0 point veggies.
You guys are doing great. Mixing it up is the thing to do. I'm doing a "biggest loser" type class and each week we do a different type of exercise. Last night was Greek line dancing which was a lot of fun and more of a workout than I expected. We have done zumba, regular floor exercises and we have belly dancing in a few weeks. We'll see how it goes?? Keep up the good work!
Hi: Down 10.6 since New Years, I eat a lot of the 0 points veggies during the day for lunch and snacks then have something more substancial for dinner. Do yoga 2's a week and with the nice weather we have had in the north east have been walking 2 miles every other day.
My household is down 19 lbs in 2 weeks.....thats for 3 of us. I guess it shows just how much "junk" we ate before..we are in our 3rd week.
Favorite things are so far....WW candy ( 1 point each, I love the butter crunch, kids love the peppermint patties), ice cream sandwhiches, Walmarts selection of "TV" dinner thingies. I do a ton of cooking directly out of an very old WW cookbook. Thats saved us. We use that lilttle calculator thing and walk around the grocery store.
I made WW shechzan chicken the other nite, chioppino, vegetable lasagna, orange sesame chicken...great cookbook....
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORk GIRLS AND GUYS !
You people are putting me to shame! Off to the gym after work!! Did resist the make your own sundae bar at lunch today.
A local dear friend of ours lost over 60 pounds attending an Aruba Weight Watchers meeting a few years ago. From what she tells us, Weight Watchers in Aruba does not exist anymore. For me, and I speak for many of us, It is really hard to have will power when on vacation and think it would be a wonderful idea if some of the well known restaurants in Aruba could put some healthly low calorie meals on their menus. Does anyone know of an Aruba restaurant that has some low calorie meals on their menus or would make a low calorie meal if requested?
