We are having houseguests from the 17th to the 27th.
my niece, her husband and 2 teen daughters.
we have some disney day trips, beach trip and lowery park zoo as day trip activities.

the last thing i want to do after traipsing around is prepare a big dinner.

so, over the last few days..... chili made in crockpot. meatloaf made. clam chowder made. chicken cacciatore and pork roast will be done tomorrow.
    everything into the freezer!!

CPJones put Jake's in my head and I was hoping for a late lunch there. Unfortunately no lunch being served until Friday so we headed around the corner to our 2nd favorite, Schooners. It's old school, hasn't been updated in awhile but the food is good. I went with the baked seafood medley, a mix of scallops, shrimp and haddock topped with buttery crumbs. They were also very accomodating letting me substitute onion rings and coleslaw instead of mashed potato and vegetable. Tom opted for a ham sald wrap, yuk, but he enjoyed it. this winter has been had on the restaurants so it was nice to support a small local place. They told us they were closed more days this winter than all the 24 years they have been in business!!

I picked up some Trader Joes Belgium chocolate pudding for dessert tonight. Really don't care what we have for dinner. Today it's all about the pudding. This stuff is so addictive. Some days when I'm trying not to overdo it, I put some on a graham cracker and top it with whipped cream.
