No basement here either. Head into an interior closet or bathroom and if able, pull a mattress or chair cushions in over your head.

Do you have a weather alert radio in case it is night time and you are sleeping and do not hear the sirens?

Yikes! It started this morning and still going strong. I have about 8 inches now, and they are calling for about 14 inches total. Supposed to snow all day tomorrow too. Good thing I have everything I need to be snowed in for a while!

We got lucky -- just 4 inches, which has now turned to "cement"! Schools are closed.

    re: windy's cement
i would much rather have 20" of the white fluff than 4" of the heavy mashed potatoes or cement as windy calls it.
be careful moving that stuff around windy!!
