Aruba would be nice right now! It's only in the 30's, with a forecast for a Norther tonight -- rain and gusts to 30mph. Ugh! And dh has to deliver newspapers by boat to Martha's Vineyard at 3 am (In the summer he takes ppl out bottom fishing, in the winter passengers and hand freight)

Allow me to preface by saying that for this time of year, average temperature here in our part of Georgia is 56 F. Today was the first day of the week we were above 40 F. with nights in the 20 's. Not bad really for transplants like us from the Northeast.

HOWEVER , when they start talking about an early season snowfall AND frigid temperatures in the single digits you cannot help but doubt global warming. Oh, and a friend is forecast for a blizzard this weekend Global warming?

Andrea the snow bird is off to Aruba where it was a high of 86 F. right now with a current temperature of 80 F.The rest of us? Think warm thoughts filled with holiday cheer?

    here in tampa bay area

    last 5 days
    30's at night
    50's day
today it got up to 60.

still no measurable rain in weeks!

we lost 5 crown of thorn plants, a 3 foot palm and 5 poinsettias to the freeze 2 nights ago.
i guess we learned the hard way.
    cover the damn things.
we have a lot of learning to do about this climate.
global warming???? not here this week.

Here tonight...Freezing rain, everything glazed over, 100's of accidents, cars abandoned because they cannot make it up hills...happy to be warm and safe inside but feel terrible for those stuck on the roads and highways

    Weather

Weather here in Vermont has gotten down to a whole 1 degree in the morning and has been in the 20's during the day or in the teens.. YIPPY sounds great doesn't it????

I wish my friends in Aruba would send some sunshine this way... Kind of wondering why I go to Aruba in September,, Should go now or wait a while for the real crap weather to hit us... Either way, I want it to snow so hard so I dont have to travel on Christmas...
Ya gotta love New England!!! Just makes us all appreciate Aruba that much more...

    Becky
Next Trip September sometime or the other..
