Atlantic City is much better with the smoke=smoking is banned I believe on all casino floors that are staffed. They have smoking lounges. I hate smoky casinos.

Quite a few closed, but most are still open both on the boardwalk and in the marina. When AC was the only game around, they could support all the casinos, but with casinos opening in PA, DE, MD etc. it is a different story now. I live 45 minutes from there and only go for shopping, shows, dinner or an event such as a wedding, usually, not in the middle of summer. The casinos have been smoke free for years. It happened because of a push from casino workers, I think there are some areas people can smoke in separate from the rest of the casino, but I'm not totally sure-I don't smoke and hate the smell.

for years, every December or February we'd meet our Maryland friends in AC for a long weekend.
we used to go to Harrahs and also the Borgata.
I won a nice amount $ at the Borgata in 2003 or 4 and we went to Aruba a few weeks later with the proceeds.
our last visit was in 2009,on our way moving to FLA.
the last thing we did in AC was stop at the White House for a sub sandwich before hitting the road to Florida.

Yes, I assume weíre not going off topic, since itís an off topic thread!

Itís surprising how many people donít realize that you can smoke in the Vegas casinos. After this trip, Iím not in any real hurry to rush back (to Tomís disappointment); and I feel bad for the people who work there. Iíve been doing a little research on nonsmoking casinos across the US. There really arenít that many. Black Hawk, CO looks interesting though.

I respect peoples opportunity to spoke but I hate when it interferes with my enjoyment. I do not enjoy the smell at all at certain casinos in Aruba and try not to frequent them because the smell of smoke is to strong for me.
