103.7 is a huge concern.......scary stuff
it is one thing when a toddler boosts a fever that high
but, when an adult (ya kate is probaly classified as an adult for all intents and purposes) could be life threatening.
i am so glad that you and cindy are good parents and did the best thing by ditching the red sox and getting the kid great care
job well done.
think of the poor kids whose parents are incompetent?
or think of those that do not seek care due to finances?
you 2 dun good. (as they say here in maine ayuh)
again, scary stuff
we all wish katie well
and for the other 3 of you in the house
WASH YOUR HANDS and drink tons of water.

Wow! Get well soon! I had my daughter in the emergency room 2 years ago when it got around that. We learned that childrens tylenol is garbage, the liquid Motrin knocks the fever down right away. I swear by it. I know your girls are a bit older but I don't think there is an age limit on it. I'll have to look when I get home in the morning. Keep hydrated with gatorade, the electrolytes are key!
Thanks to all of you, our good friends, for your "well wishes". Katy, fortunately, is making progress and temperature, while still fluctuating quite a bit, is consistently below 102.
Could it be swine flu? Maybe. It has been diagnosed as a flu and further tests would be needed to categorize it as "swine". She (and we) are being treated as if it were swine. Anti-virals, for a party of four!
