    OK, it's official...

    After the most dreary June in 103 years (measured by hours of sunlight), as of July 25th Rhode Island has had the most July rain in over 100 years.

    Thats two months now, June and July, that have been the worst here in a century. You call this summer?

    ...and an early fall will be upon us.

    We have tons of tall pines in the wooded portion of our backyard with poison ivy trailing up the trunks. We have left it because it attracts birds. With as many cats as we have, a good entertainmnet device and free I might add.

    Anyway, looked out the window this a.m. and wouldn't you know the leaves on the PI are already changing color. This is always the first sign of fall but does not usually come until the very beginning of September.

    So much for manmade global warming.

    Rob, I am attaching something to cheer you and warm you up. How many more days?

    rain all day here in central maine

    we hurried home from kittery earlier afternoon as the weather there was terrible too...........went from terrible to terribler

    simple brownie


    i use my mom's recipe and its title is SIMPLE BROWNIES
    never fails

    i even substitute applesauce for the oil

    yum


    another Maine/New England thing is WHOOPIE PIE
    mom's recipe for that is wonderful

    my nieces girlfriend owns that business in maine " simply brownies" that is why i asked, i will give you that though, nothing like a homemade brownie, Yummy
